Watercolor. 24 X 14 inches.
This painting illustrates for me the dichotomies I have in my spatial attractions. I love still lifes where I can cram in every possible squiggle, but I also like to paint subjects in an open space, where the space is equal to the subject in the painting's overall expression. This particular painting was done in response to a demonstration offered by M. Chaillou, a French watercolorist, and contains a note of thanks under my signature.
